"Pengharapanku" meaning "My Hope" is a Christian worship song released by Keluarga Allah Worship. The lyrics of the song tell about the hope that is in the Lord. There are 2 videos; a video aimed for the public (uploaded in YouTube) and a video that is used on the screen at church during worship. The first video is a combination of illustration and hand-lettering, while the second video is the simplified version, so that it is easier to be read during worship. The video does not simply show the lyrics, but also tells the meaning of "Hope" itself through the illustrations.
The Process
Initial Sketches
The abstract nature of the lyrics presented challenges in creating a visual representation, making the initial storyboard development difficult. However, while playing the song on the piano, the core concept for the visualization emerged. This insight guided the subsequent creation of the storyboard, which was directly mapped onto the sheet music.
